am I still me?
Easily one of the worst experiences of my life... Accidentally triggered an idiosyncratic reaction, or something similar by taking my ritalin at the same time I downed a sobe no fear. I'm not sure precisely what sort of synergy occured, or if the taurine just accelerated the uptake of the slow release ritalin. But the upshot is that I've been unable to sleep all night. I lay in bed, close my eyes and lose time to something between hallucinations and dreaming. I hope it's just my body forcing me towards rem, in the form of the "micronaps" often described by subjects in sleep deprivation studies. My vocabulary and reasoning seems intact, or at least as sound as you can expect from someone who's been up almost 21 hours, with a bare modicum of sleep the night before.
